Splash Pad

The Splash Pad is part of the Leon Corlew Park and Splash Pad complex located behind the Public Safety Building. This fully accessible water playground opened in 2016 and was designed to ensure safe and fun adventures for children of varying abilities and ages. It includes oversize water features ranging from a large dumping bucket to gentle bubblers spread out on a no-slip safety turf surface.

  • Concessions (staffed from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

Corlew Park Splash PadSplash Pad Rules

  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All participants must conduct themselves in a courteous and safe manner. Rough-housing and violent play are prohibited.
  • Climbing on Splash Pad features is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • Swimsuits and/or appropriate attire is required.
  • Concrete surface is textured for safety, but water shoes are recommended. No tennis shoes or boots allowed.
  • No food and glass containers allowed on Splash Pad.
  • No pets allowed on Splash Pad.
  • Smoking and alcohol are prohibited in the Park.
  • No drinking Splash Pad water, spitting or spouting of water from the mouth.
  • Swim diapers are required for visitors that are not potty-trained.
  • No soaps, detergents or shampoos are to be used on Splash Pad.
  • Be mindful of inclement weather, Splash Pad may be closed at any time due to weather, maintenance or other operational concerns.
  • Maximum bather load is 78.

SEASON: Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day
HOURS: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during season
ADMISSION: Free (For day care and camp groups, the cost is $1 per child and proof of insurance is required. Please call the Parks staff in advance of group visits at 618-692-7538)
CONCESSIONS: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day during season and while District 7 is not in session; weekends only once school resumes
PARKING: Please park in areas marked "visitor parking" only
