Youth Rugby
Our Youth Rugby program is offered in partnership with the Metro East Rugby Club. It is a great way for young athletes to be introduced to the sport in a fun and safe environment. No experience required!
Spring Rugby
DATES: March 22 through May 17
LOCATION: Plummer Family Park
REGISTRATION: January 1 through April 12
We offer three different programs: Non-contact, Contact and Intro to Tackle. All programs are open to both boys and girls and are played on Sunday afternoons.
Non-Contact
COST: $40 per player | AGES: 6 to 8
Non-contact rugby is an introduction into the world of rugby, with an emphasis on learning the rules and developing basic skills (no contact required). Areas of focus include ball handling, running, evasion skills and team strategies.
Contact
COST: $75 per player | AGES: 10 to 13
Contact youth rugby will include contact drills and a few scrimmages. Any contact is primarily with tackle pads and low-speed contact with other participants. The focus is on rugby contact fundamentals with USA Rugby LEVEL 200 coaches. Safety is the No. 1 priority.
A mouth guard is mandatory and cleats are highly recommended.

Intro to Tackle is designed for older players who are still learning the game, wanting to learn, or who have been in the program for a few years. This program builds on skills such as tackling, rucking, and other contact strategies. Most of the playing time will be non-contact, however as the skills develop some tackling may be involved.
