Parade / Assembly Permit Instructions

  • If interested in holding a community event at a facility/park,fill out the Special Event Permit Application and Event Planning Guide
  • Also attach a copy of the ProposedCity Park Layout to the application with details of the layout of your proposedevent
  • Needs to be filed with the Parks and Recreation Department for the Recreation, Arts, and Special Events board approval not less than 90 days prior to proposed event
  • Parades and Public Events have to have council approval
  • If State Highway is to be used, this application will need to...
    • Be submitted not less than 60 (sixty) days prior to the event
    • Have Certificates of Insurance for: (individual policies)
      • $1,000,000 comprehensive general liability insurance naming City of Edwardsville as additional insured
      • $500,000 comprehensive general liability insurance naming Illinois Department of Transportation as additional insured
