Generally speaking fire and life safety systems like fire alarms, fire extinguishers and sprinklers systems are required to be inspected and maintained at least once each year. It is the responsibility of the building owner to ensure inspections are completed on time.
Occupancies and use groups are subject to plan review and inspection by the Fire Department.
