The Edwardsville Police Department's D.A.R.E. program was established in 1989 and currently has six certified instructors in the D.A.R.E. core and middle school curriculums.
This program is in conjunction with the National Exploring Program of the Boy Scouts of America.
The School Resource Officer (SRO) concept is the placement of an experienced law enforcement professional in a High School or Middle School with the goal of creating and maintaining safe, secure, orderly learning environments for students, faculty and staff.
