  2. Leclaire Parkfest

    October 20, 2019, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Leclaire Lake Park

    The 28th Annual Leclaire Parkfest will feature three bands, a Wine and Beer Garden is complimented by a wide variety of delicious festival food provided by local non-profit organizations. Local artisans and crafters will have their work on display and available for purchase. Games, pet adoptions, vintage cars and tractors and other family activities provide something for every age. The St. Andrew’s Relay for Life Team will host the annual Leclaire Parkfest book sale with thousands of books available at bargain prices. Exhibits of historic photos and narrated trolley tours tell the unique story of the Leclaire National Historic District.   3. Halloween Costume Contest and Downtown Trick or Treating

    October 26, 2019, 11:00 AM - 2:15 PM @ City Park

    On Saturday, October 26th Edwardsville Parks Department in cooperation with the Edwardsville Lion’s Club will host a children’s costume contest at the City Park Bandstand immediately followed by downtown trick-or-treating. Participants will be grouped in separate age categories: baby to 3 years old, 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old and a special category for group costumes. The Edwardsville Lion’s Club will begin judging at noon with each child taking a turn on the stage at the bandstand. Prizes donated by GCS Credit Union will be awarded after each age category has been presented. Trick-or-treating on Main Street will immediately follow the costume contest. Participating Main Street merchants will be at their door offering candy to costumed children. This event is free of charge but parents must arrive at the park no later than 11:30 a.m. to register for the event.
