Drive Thru Trick-or-Treat Night
Edwardsville Parks and Recreation Department will be in partnership with the Edwardsville YMCA to host our first ever Trick or Treat Drive Thru event. This event will be free to the public to drive through and get treats from local businesses and organizations. It will be held in the parking lot of Plummer Family Park on Friday, October 30th from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. All we ask from local businesses is to decorate their spot (automobile or table) and have enough goodies for all the children who come through.
Entry starts at 6:00 PM and goes until 7:30 PM. We will close off any line at 7:15 at Ridge View Drive and Goshen Drive.
The first 200 cars will receive a special "candy collecting" bucket sponsored by Redmon Insurance.
Please bring a bucket to hold out the window to collect candy. One bucket per car.
This event is FREE for all to participate. If a "Trunker" runs out of candy, please be kind and wave a Happy Halloween!
Please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth if you are the bucket holder.
Do not allow children to hang out the car window.

VENDORS!
About this Event
Calling all Vendors! We are asking for businesses and organizations to participate in our Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat Event by decorating the trunk of a car or the bed of a truck in the Halloween Spirit to be visited by area families! Participation is free, but registration is required.
Vendor registration is required deadline for entry: 10/23/2020
- Political campaigning not allowed for this kid/youth friendly event
- Set up will be October 30, 2020 from 4 PM to 5:30 PM
- We anticipate lines forming by 5:30 PM. Please be respectful of arrival times
- Vehicle owners do NOT need to come in costume (although strongly encouraged), however, ALL vehicles MUST be decorated.
- The city will continue to update/monitor expected attendance response. Trunkers need to be prepared for enough giveaways for a large crowd.
For an efficient, safe and fun event please see below guidelines:
- We are kindly asking that each vendor bring enough candy or giveaways for each child in a car. Not just one piece/item per car unless they are larger giveaway items. Numbers will be written on the car so each station will know how many children are in the car.
- Please have FUN by coming in costume and decorating the trunk of your car, the bed of your truck, or even your vehicle.
- You are responsible for tables, tents, chairs or other needs, they will not be provided.
- Please have candy individually wrapped in sealed bags for easy handout and minimal touching.
- Please have sanitizer readily available for your use.
- All attending must wear a facial covering in accordance with the Illinois mandate at all times.
- Please stay 6ft away from all others not in your group as much as possible.
- Restrooms will be available for vendor use inside the concession areas.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR MAKING THIS EVENT A SUCCESS AND YOUR COOPERATION IN OUR HALLOWEEN DRIVE THRU TRICK OR TREAT EVENT!
