E-One Apparatus Manufacturing

Edwardsville Fire Department's primary or 'first-out' fire apparatus were manufactured by E-One. They consist of two engines and a quint. Edwardsville also has a backup Quint manufactured by Pierce.

The name Quint is derived from the Latin prefix "quinque-", meaning five, and refers to the five functions that a Quint provides:

  1. Aerial Device
  2. Fire Hose
  3. Ground Ladders
  4. Pump
  5. Water Tank

Advanced Life Support

Each fire apparatus has been fitted with a full complement of Advanced Life Support medical equipment. Whether in an ambulance or fire truck our paramedics are equipped to perform lifesaving treatments.
