Fire hydrant flushing will begin during the week of March 31 – April 4^th.

The City of Edwardsville Water Division will be conducting our annual hydrant flushing program.

As part of our regular maintenance program the Water Division will be flushing water mains and hydrants. The program will begin on Monday, March 31, 2008, and will continue for the following 10-12 weeks.

Periodically during this work, you may experience cloudy or discolored water, lower than usual water pressure and possibly air in your water lines. 

The annual maintenance program is very important to not only ensure continued delivery of high quality water to homes and businesses but to ensure fire hydrants are operating properly to maintain public safety.
